I remember Roma beating the likes of Chelsea and Madrid in Champions league and they did that convincingly. It’s a shame that you are out of UCL but hopefully you can bring your team back.
Are you going to take the Europa League seriously ?
A top 4 finish is going to be a tough challenge but you can still achieve that goal. Inter and Juventus are going to be hard to beat as I just saw their team and they have some exceptional players at their disposal.
Anyway, All the best with this.

i like the start…will you try to bring aquilani back to italy ?

Stevie, that’s definitely a great idea, but don’t you think he’s a bit too expensive??

Thanks guys.
Reese, I am certainly taking Europa League seriously and I think that competition will not only allow my youngsters to gain experience and grow but it will help me bring in some much needed cash.
Stevie, I haven’t thought about Alberto yet and well even if I decide to bring him back , firstly he has to prove that he is not made of glass and his performances for Liverpool will be a deciding factor for me.
Samir, How is your game coming along ?

i am starting to notice that this game takes nationality preference too seriously, ancelotti has already brought cassano and de rossi to stamford bridge and he is literally stalking iaquinta who i refuse to let go.

Thanks for the interest Dhaw, my career is indeed going well. Why don’t you take a look in http://www.fm8.theoffside.com ??? Hope you comment!!

And I will also like to suggest you two good young cheap players you may like, James Rodriguez from banfield, great attacking midfielder, and striker Kramaric from Zagabria, who scores a lot of goals..

Weston, I can’t believe Daniele DeRossi has moved to Chelsea. Blasphemy !!!!
Arghhh !! How did Roma let that happen, these fucking nutjobs. How much did he go for ?

my mistake, he went to manchester utd which is EVEN WORSE! it was $58million. as far as my own team goes i am carrying on the juventus injury tradition quite well by missing buffon legrottaglie iaquinta trezeguet and sissoko. i am still top of the table off of a 2-0 away to inter so i must be doing something right though.

dhaw, i was also wondering if you would want to keep track of all of the juventus-roma games between us somehow as a competition or something, we could see who is better compared with the computer versions of ourselves.

Jesus Christ. They sent him packing to Manchester Utd. Certainly a very very sad day in the world of Football Manager.
Talking about injuries, don’t you worry because Roma is no better. Virtual world or Real world – injuries hamper this team big time.

That sounds good to me weston and I promise I am going to figure out this network gaming on FM 10 so we can have a crack at one another.
How many leagues games have you played so far ?

as of now ive played:
Juventus 2-0 Udinese
Juventus 2-1 Lazio
Inter 0-2 Juventus
which puts me at the top as the only one with all three wins. i scored in the first minute in the first game which was nice and i also won the lazio game with a last minute free kick from del piero which was cool. also, giovinco played his first game straight of of injury and he snatched the first goal away at inter, i cant wait to see that in real life.Posted from

Impressive results.
I am just about to start my preseason games and let’s see how that goes.

Can’t wait till tomorrow, when I will be finally playing FM10! Time to take charge of Juve and do what I’ve been wanting to happen in real life: get rid of Tiago, Poulsen and Grygera.

ahaha i just tied liverpool 2-2 at anfield with a goal in 14 seconds (a new record apparently) and a goal in 88 minutes how interesting. so whens the next post up?

In the next 15-20 mins.

4312 is something I would suggest you to try but you don’t have many MC’s. 4231 is your best bet.

I agree 4-2-3-1, using Totti as playmaker and your abundance of wingers. I also like that 2 holding midfielders will allow one to take more creative duties (like Veron in Argentina) and the other to purely destroy stuff.

Wheres cassetti at?

Stevie & t’OM, Thanks for your input. I was leaning towards 4-2-3-1 as well.
Hawk, Thanks for pointing that out. Cassetti apparently was in my “Reserve Squad”. I am not surprised that he was sent packing out there. I added him back to first team and updated the post.

I think Vucinic is the key, get the service to him & he will score

Indeed Matty. I first thought of playing Vucinic as AML and Totti as the ST in the 4-2-3-1 set up but I believe Vucinic will be much more effective if he is in front of goal with Totti behind him.

I vote for 4-2-3-1.
