Jeez, is there really that box ?? I haven’t even come across that. No wonder I start at 0. Oh well it’s a good challenge to start with zero and build the squad over a period of time.

If the game is realistic at all then even let say even if I had the box clicked , it wouldnt have given me more than few million because in real life Rosella Sensi is broke.

    Jonas,

loll, I said the exact same thing when I saw that. I still am surprised how Juve got D’agostino for only 7M.

That’s a realistic figure for him, tht’s why I was shocked how come the AI got him for only 7M. That’s fucked up.

Even Milan got Riquelme for just 3.5M and I am sure if you bid for him he is going to cost you atleast 8-10 mil

lol , that’s typical Baptista. He scores the tough ones and misses the easy ones. In total he missed 7 cc’s. Did you diss him in your post-game pep talk ?

    Julian,

One thing I have figured out in this years FM 10 is that only setting a formation doesn’t make the players play well.

The biggest and the most important part is to get your PERSONAL INSTRUCTIONS right. Every player will do things according to his traits.

For example : If you ask Taddei to cut in from the right and move into places – then he is not going to do it. He doesnt have the creativity neither the presence of mind to do so. But ask him to do normal things on the right flank and go help out the defense then he is going to do a wonderful job for you and that’s exactly he is doing for me.

In short – Pay close attention to personal instructions. Just relying on Team instructions isn’t going to help.

Another big thing in this FM 10 is your backline. They will leak goals left right and centre and be treated like bitches by teams even from Serie C if you don’t get your instructions right on them.

Opposition is going to have field day with Through balls if your back line is not set up right.

Set you’re defence as in playing them deap, normal or have them push up.

See Riise sucks in attacking , not that he doesnt suck in defending but he can still do a decent job at the back.

So set your LB instructions on DEFEND.
Motta/Cici do a good job attacking , so set their instructions on Automatic which tells them that not only do they hve to help the attack but also come back help the defense.

CB’s – Juan – Limited Defender. Very less creative freedom.

CB’s – Mexes – You know how he likes to go in front and do all that crazy shit – so give him a little creative freedom and instruct him to defend like a sane classic defender.

Defensive line – A notch below normal will be fine to start with.

Other important aspect playing as Roma is to make sure Daniele De Rossi helps the backline every fucking time.

In my set up he is the main man. Don’t instruct him to SUPPORT. His role is to just stay back and be the holding man , limited attacking instructions but a lot of defending instructions.

Mostly a 4312, then i got frustrated by mirko not being able to score if his life depended on it and my full backs’ shitiness so i decided to go all out attack with a 3232. The result was about 55 shots (and no goals) against bari and them winning with an 84th minute goal.

Hello guys! I am Samir, the creator of the new Football Manager blog: http://www.fmcorner.co.cc

Now, it will be certainly a growing community, and it will definitely have its (maybe) high ranking and many readers, but only if you collaborate. Do you want to take part in an FM blog? Then read this:

Send an email to: samir0810[at]gmail[dot].com if you think you can be a potential writer in one of the next categories: (Oh, and don’t forget to write in the email subject: POTENTIAL BLOGGER…

-FM Story Writer- This is the part for everyone who wants to write Football Manager Stories!

-FM Tactic Creator- This is for the ones who know they take the best of their FM teams, by creating great tactics! I need someone who can create great tactics and post them, preferably describing them!

-FM Tactic Downloader- This is an easy job, which consists in you searching every, I mean EVERY site you find about FM Tactic downloads, download them, and post them, obviously giving credits to the site you took it from..

-CSS, HTML Styler- Now, this comes out from the football thing, but as you can see the page is styled with a VERY CASUAL skin, so I may need someone who knows how to create wordpress templates, and in exchange you may have a page on CSS styling, or maybe informatics, or other things..

-Advertiser- Ok, I know maybe no one will take this job, but if someone wants it, take it. In exchange you may have a page of your own, about what you want, obviously with me approving it before!
